A pressure group, The Dynamic Elites Forum, has offered to pay for the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) form for 100 indigent students of Ogoniland in Rivers State.

The Deputy Speaker of Rivers State House of Assembly, Mr. Dumle Maol, who is a member of the group, made the promise after he was presented an award at the 18 get-together event of the group held in Bori, Khana Local Government Area.

Maol said the incentive would help the indigent students of Ogoni who want to further their education to achieve that.

Another youth-friendly leader in Ogoni and a friend of the group, Nwinadum Wey, also supported the project with some undisclosed amount of money.

Wey, who described the forum as a leadership academy, promised to organise a free leadership training for the youths and students of Ogoni.

Presenting the award to the Deputy Speaker, the leader of the forum, Ledibabari Mon, said the group decided to honour him with an award of excellence in recognition of his “philanthropy, distinguished leadership, and extraordinary passion for students and youth development.”

He described Maol as the pride of the forum in the student community and Ogoni at large.

Mon affirmed that “the organisation was proud to associate with and identify with the style of leadership of Maol, hence the special recognition award.

He said: “The body, having vividly observed the superlative and objective performance of the Deputy Speaker in the 10th Assembly, unanimously passed a vote of confidence on him and pledged to stand by him at all times.”

In his response, Maol expressed appreciation to the group for the recognition, stressing that whatever indices were used to arrive at their decision will encourage him to redouble efforts towards achieving more for God and humanity.
