Kamaldeen Pedro Steps into New Role as line Producer for a Biopic

Esteemed filmmaker Kamaldeen Pedro, renowned for his cinematic masterpiece ‘Ka Bi Osi,’ is set to embark on a new role as the line producer for the upcoming biopic ‘The Blind Boy.’ The film to be produced by Noble Ike, takes inspiration from the poignant story of a blind individual interviewed in the northern part of Nigeria.

In a statement, Kamaldeen Pedro shared his enthusiasm for the project, stating, “Being the line producer for ‘The Blind Boy’ is a unique opportunity to delve into a compelling narrative inspired by a real-life experience. We interviewed a blind man in northern Nigeria, and from that, we crafted a story that promises to be truly distinctive. Addressing potential challenges for the upcoming JJC Media production, Pedro expressed confidence in a smooth process. “The role of a line producer comes after the producer, and in this case, since the producer is currently abroad, I will be standing in to ensure the seamless execution of the production. With nine years of experience in this field, I am well-prepared for the responsibilities that come with being a line producer. It won’t be overly challenging, and I am committed to making the production a success.”

When asked about the value he brings to the production as the line producer, Kamaldeen Pedro explained, “My role primarily revolves around the production department. While the creative aspect is under the purview of the director, I am responsible for bringing the team together, managing the cast and crew, and ensuring all necessary elements are in place for a successful production.”

The production for ‘The Blind Boy’ is slated to commence on February 9th, promising audiences a captivating and emotionally resonant cinematic experience.
