Two Killed, Several Others Injured as Two Youth Groups Clash in Minna

Hell was let lose in the gbaganu,/Fadikpe area of Minna, Niger State, when two rival youth groups clashed resulting in the death of two people.
Several others were also seriously injured while some properties were destroyed.
Dangerous weapons such as knives and daggers were used by the members of the warring groups during which one of the boys called Umaru Aminu was stabbed in the stomach causing his death.
Another boy, Saidu Mallam, was equally stabbed during the fracas making him to die on the spot.
It was not immediately known what caused the disturbance but one of the people in the neighbourhood said that such clashes had become a daily occurrence in the area despite efforts by the security agencies to put a stop to such incidents.
State Police Command Public Relations Officer, DSP. Wasiu Abiodun, confirmed the incident saying that 10 suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident.
Abiodun said that those arrested would be charged to court for thuggery, disturbance of public peace, and culpable homicide.
He said that police patrol teams have been deployed to the area to maintain law and order.
