Rashak Farms’ Medical Outreach Thrives, Benefits 442 Smallholder Farmers with Vital Care

The Medical Outreach Program by Rashak Farms and Agro Allied Limited, designed to raise health awareness and offer crucial medical assistance to smallholder farmers, has successfully impacted 442 participants.

According to a statement signed by the organization, the initiative, in line with Rashak’s dedication to overall well-being, took place from January 22nd to 26th, 2024, covering Kaduna and Katsina States.

The statement read, “The program emphasized inclusivity, reaching out to women, disabled individuals, and various age groups, and health issues addressed included high blood pressure, malaria, and blood sugar levels. Informative lectures focused on health consciousness and education to empower the community.

“ The demographic distribution, critically taking account of age categories, varied across the four days, with significant participation from the 26-35 age group. The distribution reflected a diverse demographic, highlighting the program’s broad reach.

“ The health assessment results, includes, High blood pressure cases: 44.34%, Malaria cases: 18.37%, High blood sugar cases: 4.52%

The company said it aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 3, the program will contribute to promoting healthy lives and well-being for all, which emphasized on inclusivity resonated with SDG 3’s goal of leaving no one behind.

“ Farmers expressed appreciation for gaining insights into their health, emphasizing Rashak’s comprehensive support. Post-event interviews reflected overwhelming joy and gratitude for the impact of the medical outreach.”

One of the beneficiaries, Safiyanu Idrees commended Rashak for educating farmers on health issues and recommended adding a typhoid test to future initiatives.

Medical staff emphasized the significance of Rashak’s specialized equipment and urged other companies to prioritize health.
