Nollywood to Celebrate Decade of Excellence at INIFFAA 2024

Inside Nollywood is set to honor industry veterans at the International Film Festival & Awards (INIFFAA) in Abuja from February 15-17, 2024, marking a decade of fostering original expression.

Ambassador for the event, Nonso Diobi, and Founder & CEO of Inside Nollywood, Muoma Obinna, stated that INIFFAA 2024 aims to strengthen global bonds within the film community.

The festival promises to be a celebration of outstanding Nollywood films, featuring categories such as Best Actor, Best Actress, and Most Controversial Movie. INIFFAA 2024 will also showcase Nigeria’s cultural heritage through Dambe, a traditional martial art, in partnership with Indigenous Sports Week Abuja.

Special guests, including Hannatu Musawa and Doris Uzoka-Anite, will grace the event. Muoma Obinna emphasized the festival’s testament to Nollywood’s growth, creativity, and cultural roots.

At a press conference during INIFFAA, Inside Nollywood expressed its commitment to creating fertile ground for the Federal Government to develop and promote a creative economy. Nonso Diobi stressed the festival’s role in encouraging government support, stating, “Content is the new oil well in the world.”

Muoma Obinna, highlighted the festival’s 10-year journey of promoting original content and attracting investors. Awards in categories like Hall of Fame, practitioners award, and Festival award reflect the festival’s celebration of Nollywood’s achievements and its contribution to the creative economy.

President of Thanos Charity Foundation, on his partUgochukwu Ifeanyi, expressed pride in partnering with Inside Nollywood to empower girls and contribute to a fertile ground for government investment in the creative economy.

INIFFAA 2024 stands as an annual celebration of the achievements and contributions of individuals and organizations in the Nigerian film industry. The festival offers a distinguished platform for filmmakers, actors, and industry stakeholders to showcase their work and connect with a global audience, solidifying Nollywood’s impact on the international stage.
