Mama Hannah’s Limited: Cultivating Change in Nigeria’s Agriculture Sector
Amid Nigeria’s economic fluctuations, Mama Hannah’s Limited emerged as a beacon of change, navigating the nation’s agricultural landscape with innovation and resilience.
Specialising in rubber and oil palm cultivation, the company not only bolsters Nigeria’s agricultural output but also plays a pivotal role in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) supply chain.
“At Mama Hannah’s Limited, we envision a Nigeria where agriculture thrives as a cornerstone of our economy,” says Olabode Fayemiro, the Founder of the company.
Established in November 2022, Mama Hannah’s Limited stands as a testament to Fayemiro’s commitment to reshaping Nigeria’s economic trajectory.
Situated in Okitipupa, Ondo state, the company’s plantations serve as a vital hub in driving agricultural progress.
Despite the dominance of oil in Nigeria’s economy, agriculture remains a formidable force, consistently outpacing petroleum in contributing to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
“Agriculture is the backbone of our nation,” affirms Fayemiro. “It not only sustains livelihoods but also fuels economic growth.”
With over 70.8 million hectares of agricultural land, Nigeria boasts immense potential for crop production. Mama Hannah’s Limited harnesses this potential, focusing on cash crops like rubber and oil palm.
“We understand the importance of diversification in agriculture,” says Fayemiro. “By cultivating cash crops, we not only expand Nigeria’s agricultural diversity but also tap into lucrative global markets.”
Challenges such as limited access to finance and inadequate infrastructure loom over Nigeria’s agricultural sector. However, Mama Hannah’s Limited embraces innovation to surmount these obstacles.
“We are pioneers in agricultural technology,” states Fayemiro proudly. “Through initiatives like artificial intelligence integration, we enhance productivity and empower local farmers.”
As Mama Hannah’s Limited looks to the future, expansion is on the horizon. With plans to increase plantation size from 40 to 100 hectares by 2024, the company remains steadfast in its commitment to agricultural excellence.
“Our journey is just beginning,” declares Fayemiro. “We are dedicated to not only cultivating crops but also nurturing a prosperous future for Nigeria’s agriculture.”
Mama Hannah’s Limited stands as a testament to the resilience and innovation driving Nigeria’s agricultural renaissance in a nation ripe with agricultural potential.
Through sustainable practices and technological advancement, the company embodies the spirit of progress, paving the way for a brighter future for Nigeria’s agriculture sector.
