ECOWAS Holds Extra-ordinary Summit

The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) is holding an extra-ordinary meeting of its member states in Abuja.

The meeting, holding at the Conference Hall of the State House, Abuja, is being presided over by the Chairman of ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government and Nigerian President, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

The meeting is expected to review the embargo placed by ECOWAS on Burkina Faso, Guinea, Niger and Mali, where military junta are holding sway.
