Lagos Appoints Seyi Sowunmi to Advisory Council on Social Intervention Program

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-olu has appointed  Hon.Seyi Sowunmi   a member of the state’s Special Dispensation Advisory Council on Social Intervention Program.

The appointment of  Sowunmi, a Labour Party House of Representatives  member representing  Ojo Federal Constituency, Lagos is deemed a testament to his commitment  to improving  quality of life in Lagos State.

In a statement, Sanwo-olu affirmed that Sowunmi’s appointment was in recognition of his esteemed position being a thought leader and advocate for positive change.

He stated that the advisory committee  cut across different religious,social and political backgrounds as well as consumer rights advocates.

He informed that the council is tasked with working alongside the Governor and  leadership team to create and implement effective social safety nets and economic support initiatives to assist Lagos residents during these challenging times.

Remarking, he said, “I commend His Excellency for this all-inclusive initiative irrespective of political, religious, ethnic or gender bias. I believe this ensures transparency and accountability. I am honoured to have been appointed to the council. I look forward to working with my fellow council members to ensure that individuals and families in our state get the necessary government support they deserve during difficult times.”

Sowunmi is also the Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Local Content and member of the House Committees on Science And Technology, Foreign Aids, Loans and Debt ManagementManagement, amongst others.
