Nigerian broadcast journalist Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, popularly known as Nedu, has launched a transformative scholarship initiative to provide full academic scholarships to 1,000 deserving individuals in partnership with the Metropolitan School of Business and Management, UK.
The first edition of the initiative will commence in Lagos on March 9, followed by subsequent events in London and Abuja, underscoring the global reach and commitment to educational empowerment.
Interacting with journalists recently in Lagos, Nedu described education as the cornerstone of societal progress. He stated that the partnership with the UK-based school aims to break barriers and unlock opportunities for talented individuals who lack access to quality education.
He explained that the scholarship drive would prioritise candidates who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential, and a strong commitment to positively impacting their communities.
Nedu noted that the initiative seeks to remove financial barriers and create pathways to success for talented individuals from diverse backgrounds by providing full academic scholarships.
The Director of Social Impact Initiatives at Metropolitan School of Business and Management, UK, Dylan Hannigan, said the institution believes that education should be accessible to all, regardless of socioeconomic status or background.
