Global Leadership Institute Holds the 7th Ddition of the Leadership Roundtable Summit at Civic Center in Lagos.

The Leadership Roundtable Summit (LRS) 7.0, which was held on February 23rd, 2024, marked another successful year of bringing together leaders, innovators, and change-makers from diverse industries. Organized by the Global Leadership Institute, the annual event provided a platform for insightful discussions, engaging workshops, and valuable networking opportunities.

Prof. Akin Abayomi, Hon. Commissioner for Health, Lagos State, graced the event as the keynote speaker. His insightful and thought-provoking address covered a wide range of topics, from transformative leadership to innovation and entrepreneurship. Attendees were inspired by his expertise and gained valuable takeaways to apply in their own leadership journeys.

During his welcome address, Abayomi Adewumi, LRS Convener and Managing Director of GLI emphasized the true essence of leadership: “Leaders are people that can transform their environment without necessarily directing anybody.” This highlighted the power of influence and positive change.

LRS 7.0 featured diverse panels of industry experts who engaged in lively debates on pressing issues facing leaders today. Discussions focused on addressing national challenges through entrepreneurial solutions and leveraging innovation to drive economic revival. These insightful exchanges provided attendees with practical solutions and empowered them to make a difference.

It’s incredibly inspiring to witness the growth of LRS,” shared Yvonne Femi Adewumi, Director at GLI. “Starting from a humble church auditorium in Ejigbo a few years ago, we’ve come a long way to be here now and have impacted over 10,000 attendees, honored over 120 leaders, awarded over 40 people, and shifted the needle of progress in Nigeria.”

Beyond the thought-provoking sessions, LRS 7.0 provided an invaluable platform for networking. Attendees connected with fellow leaders and industry experts, forging valuable partnerships and fostering future collaborations. Olaoluwa Ogundipe, an attendee, shared his experience: “LRS 7.0 was amazing! I gained insights from transformative discussions and connected with like-minded individuals, paving the way for future collaborations.

LRS 7.0 concluded with a sense of shared purpose and commitment to positive change. The summit provided a powerful platform for leaders to learn, connect, and inspire each other, leaving a lasting impact on all who participated.

As the Global Leadership Institute continues its mission to empower future leaders, they stated that they plan to reach over 100,000 Nigerians & Africans in the next 3 years through the summit, masterclasses, webinars, training, and empowerment programmes.
