Fintiri Empowers Ten Thousand Business Owners in Adamawa

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, yesterday, formally flagged-off the disbursement of cash grants to 10,000 micro-business owners in the state.
Governor Fintiri said the empowerment programme was a significant milestone of his administration’s commitment to uplifting the socio-economic status of the people and fostering inclusive growth across all sectors of the economy in the state.
He further explained that the disbursement was done through the state government’s Poverty Alleviation and Wealth Creation Agency.( PAWCA) established to liberate the state from poverty and empower citizens of the state with skills .
“As a government, we recognise that micro-businesses form the backbone of our local communities, driving innovation, creating employment opportunities, and contributing to the overall prosperity of our people and our dear state.
“The decision to allocate these cash grants stems from our unwavering dedication to alleviating poverty and empowering our entrepreneurs to thrive in a competitive marketplace. By providing direct financial assistance to 10,000 micro-business owners, we aim to catalyse their growth, enhance their productivity, and enable them to scale-up their ventures to new heights.
“We understand the challenges faced by micro-business owners, from limited access to capital to lack of resources and infrastructure,” he said
According to Fintiri, these cash grants are not merely handouts but strategic investments in the future of Adamawa State, adding that they represent a” tangible expression of our belief in the entrepreneurial spirit of our people and our commitment to creating an enabling environment for business success.
