Jenniez “School of Africa Interior Design Partners LSETF”
…Graduates Students in Professional Interior Design
Jenniez School of Africa Interior Design (JSAID) partners with the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) to train and graduate over 259 students in professional interior design.
The 7th graduation ceremony showcases glamour, excellence and innovation in the detailed world of interior design while reducing the gender employment gap by training mostly women and girls.
JSAID is positioned to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals of No poverty, Quality Education, Gender Equality and Reduced Inequalities.
Speaking at the event the Head of Employability, LSETF, Mr. Mathieu Michel affirms that JSAID is one of the verified training partners of the Fund.
He maintains that the fund runs a rotation exercise in which students spend 3 months in hands-on training classes with another 3 months in curated job openings or self employment schemes.
Addressing the interior design sector, the employment expert says:
“In the case of interior design there are a lot of opportunities and so in a self-employment journey, finding clients, finding opportunities is crucial.
“Interior Design might be a niche but it is a well expending, dynamic sector; so the importance of networking, continuing education, situational entrepreneurship cannot be overemphasized.”
Mr. Michel expresses that self employment capabilities will create a type of contract management that young people need to build, practice and familiarize with such that when faced with multiple contracts, they may decide to share the opportunities with people in their networks who may reciprocate in the future.

Delivering her opening speech, Founder and Chairman of JSAID, Dr. Jennifer Chukwujekwe says the school has cultivated a culture of creativity, innovation, fostering an environment where students are encouraged to push boundaries.
The recently acclaimed 1st Female Course Provider in Africa, Chukwujekwe stresses that the graduands are not just interior designers but visioneers, changemakers and leaders poised to make a significant impact on the world of interior design.
Dr. Chukwujekwe charges the graduands to “challenge convention” and ‘think outside the box.’
Meanwhile, one of the beneficiaries of the LSETF sponsorship Mrs. Kofoworola Edogha while expressing delight at her accomplishments says, “We were thought the general knowledge and we were able to explore not just the theoretical parts, we were able to work with some softwares and did a lot of assignments and projects,” she affirms.
JSAID is the first interior design school in Africa to have her courses accredited by The Interior Design Continuous Education Council, (IDCEC) Canada, making it amongst the top interior design schools such as New York School of Interior Design and also serving as an approved virtual training center for interior design by Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF).
