Don’t Fast Against Water – Salis Urges Muslims
As the general body of Islamic brethren embark on another yearly session of Ramadan fast, eminent U.S. based lawyer and politician, High Chief Owolabi Salis, has issued a passionate plea on all muslims to abstain only from food, but not water.
In his goodwill message to the global mass of Islamic devotees, the Spiritual Leader of The Soul Maker’s Ministry, World Wide, and a gubernatorial contestant in Lagos State in 2019, under the platform of the Alliance For Democracy, warned that fasting without water is injurious not only to the body, but also the soul.
“Whereas, fasting as currently being observed amongst the Islamic and Christian adherents is often informed by the zeal for spiritual ascent in the hope that a strict code of abstinence from food and water will fire the spirit to greater spiritual heights, but contrarily and unfortunately too, fasting by not taking water is not only injurious to the soul, but militates against the subliminal impulse for spiritual growth,” said the erudite U.S – based lawyer and Ikorodu-born politician.
“Apart from constituting a militating cog to meaningful spiritual progress, fasting without food and water incurs quite a debilitating toll on the general physical health. It is like killing yourself by instalment, especially in terms of the severe kidney damage it inflicts on the body, apart from several other malignant infirmities that irresistibly come on through this grossly uninformed age-old mode of fasting, however when you fast by denying yourself only of food while getting along with water in the process, you reap maximum advantage obviously because fasting has a tremendous healing and curative effect.”
“Infact,it is in that event that you can truly affirm that fasting is amazingly medicinal and therapeutic;but not when you deny yourself of water, because you will surely be dying by instalment as you increasingly imperil and ravage your health to increasingly disastrous consequences” Salis stated further
Shedding further illuminating insight, the spiritual leader of The Soul Maker Ministry, expressed: “It is good to fast or abstain from certain things but not water and air.If I may express, firmly but politely, the rules of Ramadan were man made and the makers were unable to perceive the dire spiritual consequences of fasting against water.
“This was indeed unfortunate, simply because you gain more benefits from fasting when you take only water while fasting. Our body is made of soil, water and air which include the air soul which is the mysterious energy or fire that drives us. When the air soul leaves your body, it means you are dead.”
“Life is about body and soul. The soul is deposited in you directly by the Soul Maker when your mother conceived you and the custodian of the soul is your heart which coordinates with the head to manage the body. The principal food of the soul is water.
“In other words, your soul needs water to function properly and serve as your unseen doctor. Lack of water in the body has killed many. What some people need when they feel sick is just water to make the soul function properly. Having water in your body heals a lot of ailments. Now imagine that you have this vital fluid water in your body while fasting, that implies you definitely will get more healing.
“Natural air and water are very important for sustenance of our souls. Fasting against water is like fasting against air. Fasting against water is unspiritual because water serves as the motivating spirit to the body.To that extent therefore, fasting against water is injurious to your soul and spirit.”
Statistics are replete with inumerable instances in which lots of Muslims and Christians have incurred chronic kidney problems apparently occassioned by fasting against water and going further to compound the problem by breaking their fasting with sweet drinks.”
Delving into esoteric depth, Salis explained that
“All human beings have three roots. Your first root is the Soul Maker, the Supreme Being, that deposited the soul in our mothers. Our second root is our parents and our third root is our familial ancestors. We need to water our roots for spiritual growth by paying recognition to them but we can only worship the first root because whatever we worship, that act of worship entails that we are submitting our soul to it; therefore, the only being worthy of worship is the maker of the soul who gives it and can take it. The Soul Maker is the Commander in Chief of our lives. Whoever fails to worship the Soul Maker does not deserve to live because the Soul Maker can take away the soul subject to his magisterial whims and caprices, with no higher authority to question or interrogate him. Therefore,in honouring and nurturing our soul,it is important that we give it its food, which is solely water, and nothing else, than water, all the time.
“At this juncture,it is therefore my humble advice if I may seize this opportunity to reiterate once again that as we proceed into this crucial holy season of Ramadan with water, for our spiritual nurture, while bracing with the earnest desire to worship the Soul Maker alone, pray for your parents, pray for your familial ancestors, respect diversity and build love because the Creator of the Universe and its expansion created everything in diversity and whoever disrespects diversity is not favored by the superseeding and omnipotent Creator of all things,”
