At the tender age of 12 and currently navigating through JSS2, Hauwa has become a rising star with over 20,000 Instagram followers and a trail of accomplishments that showcase her exceptional talent and passion for broadcasting.

A talented content creator, Hauwa has not only hosted captivating children’s programs on Leadership Newspaper & TV and BBC Hausa but has also taken on the role of a brand ambassador for Tajbank Ltd, a leading Non-Interest Bank in Nigeria. She also made an inspiring presentation at the Walk Away Cancer 2023 event organized by Medicaid Cancer Foundation.

Beyond the local scene, Hauwa’s influence has reached international heights. As the anchor of the thought-provoking “Girls Off Mute” program on DW Radio Hausa, she has become a symbol of empowerment and a champion for the amplification of young voices, especially those of girls. Her commitment to advocacy extends to her registered NGO, “She’s the Change Initiative,” where she addresses critical issues related to the girl child, out-of-school children, and climate change.

Recently, Hauwa’s outstanding talent captured the attention of an international team of journalists. Following a successful workshop on Video Journalism, she and one other journalist from Africa have been selected for further training and support from international organizations.
