Dr. Jayne Onwumere, the President and co-founder of PWAN Group, Nigeria’s leading real estate company, recently announced the establishment of the Jayne Onwumere Foundation as part of the company’s 12th-anniversary celebrations.
She explained that the foundation’s goal is to provide free education for 100 children yearly; with 50 enrolled in secondary school and 50 in university. Dr. Onwumere, a visionary leader with a heart for her community, understands the transformative power of education in breaking the cycle of poverty and empowering future generations.
At the launch, Dr. Onwumere spoke passionately about her commitment to making a difference in the lives of Nigerian youth. She emphasized the importance of education in creating opportunities and enabling individuals to take charge of their destinies.
Drawing from her own experiences and observations in her village, Dr. Onwumere highlighted the struggles faced by many families, especially women, due to lack of access to education. Driven by a desire to give back to her community, Dr. Onwumere decided to focus on empowering children through education. Her foundation will cover the school fees of 100 children, ensuring they have access to quality education in government schools.
