JCI Ikeja Restates Commitment to Economic Development

A non profit organisation, Junior Chamber International (JCI), Ikeja, has restated its commitment towards developing and strategically executing programs aimed at enhancing the sustainable economic recovery and development of the country.

The organisation revealed this during its 40th anniversary seminar which was themed:”Celebrating Legacy, Shaping Tomorrow” recently in Lagos.

The organisation pointed out that it remains dedicated towards making sustainable impact in the space of leadership, personal development of individuals, community development whilst aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Speaking with Journalists during the event, President, Junior Chamber International, Ikeja, Omowunmi Fakoya explained that the organisation has put in place adequate measures to ensure the effective execution of its agenda for the year which includes; TechAcademy, Skill4her, BigBroda Project, Security and Safety Summit, Quality Leadership Values Seminar and Innovative Enterprise Seminar.

Fakoya said, “we are delighted to announce that we are set to organise our medical outreach that would take place at Dopemu, Agege, Lagos State. We have gathered that this community is in need of some health care support thus motivating us to shift our focus to the area.”

The President of the nonprofit organisation further explained that it is also prepared to organise its TechAcademy scheme in order to contribute towards upskilling individuals, thereby enhancing their productivity in the workforce or as entrepreneurs.
