Schneider Electric has reinstated its commitment to continue making significant strides in fostering inclusion and diversity within its workforce.
According to the firm, they have made huge strides in ‘The Schneider Electric Pay Equity Framework’ to address the gender pay gap, which has been implemented in all countries since 2019, covering 99 percent of Schneider Electric’s total workforce.
Speaking on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) at Schneider Electric, Yewande Ayowole, Talent Leader, Anglophone Africa, Schneider Electric shed light on their mission to ensure a sense of belonging for each employee and the need to support young women professionals.
“At Schneider Electric, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) is an integral part of who we are and what differentiates us. We want our people, no matter who they are or where in the world they live, to feel they belong and are valued and safe to contribute their best. To this end, we believe in supporting the growth of young women professionals through sponsorship and mentorship programmes to develop their leadership skills,” she said.
Yewande further mentioned Schneider Electric’s stride in achieving a gender diverse workforce.
According to her, ”We remain committed to increasing gender diversity in hiring (50 percent), front-line management (40 percent) and leadership (30 percent), showing good progress against all three since 2021, and intending to double down on efforts this year.
