Arise Technical Director, Ayoade Adetunji, Bags Nelson Mandela Leadership Award

West African Youth Council has bestowed the Nelson Mandela Leadership Award for Excellence and Integrity on Ayoade Adetunji, Director of Technical Operations, Arise News.

Nelson Mandela Leadership Award for Excellence and Integrity is bestowed on individuals who exemplify extraordinary leadership and steadfast integrity, both personally and professionally.

A statement said Adetunji stands out as an exemplary candidate for this distinguished honour, given his remarkable accomplishments and demonstrated commitment to integrity.

With the award, the statement said Adetunji’s longstanding dedication to excellence, coupled with his influential role in propelling technological advancements within the media sector, had been rightfully recognised.

“His contributions span over a decade at esteemed organisations in West Africa and beyond, including Arise Global Media, Vision247 Ltd. in the UK, Ariseplay, and Amazing Inspiration Media Ltd., among others.

“This recognition serves as a testament to his exceptional talents, steadfast commitment, and the profound impact of his work on enhancing the digital media landscape in Nigeria, a proud member of the ECOWAS,” the statement said.

It also recalled that Adetunji had been honoured with the CIOAfrica Award, a prestigious accolade for Chief Technological Officers who have made a lasting impact on Africa’s digital and technological sphere.

Adetunji’s notable presence in the Information Technology field is marked by an illustrious career spanning over a decade, specialising in Technical Operations.

“Adetunji’s impressive credentials combine a solid foundation in Physics & Electronics with advanced postgraduate qualifications in Data Analysis and Information Systems Management. His expertise is further augmented by certifications such as Oracle Certified Java Programmer, and he boasts extensive experience in broadcast engineering, software development, data analytics, and various other IT disciplines. Adetunji is also a proud member of the CIOAfrica community,” the statement added. It also stated that in his new capacity as the West Africa Youth Ambassador, “Ayoade Adetunji is charged with fostering youth empowerment and leadership throughout West Africa. His unwavering dedication to both excellence and integrity positions him as an invaluable contributor in this significant role.”
