Asotiayé Unveils Streetwear Collection, Pushes Boundaries
Asotiayé an indigenous female wears clothing brand has expressed that its street style themed collection features cutting-edge designs which challenge the status quo of the Nigerian fashion space.
In a statement made available to Journalists, recently, in Lagos the fashion house revealed that the collection comprises of five new designs inspired by a desire to create versatile, stylish, comfortable and also elegant outfits; thereby making them perfect for attending all sorts of social gatherings.
It added that the collection makes it possible for customers to experience comfort, style and elegance at the same time as they are made from locally sourced high end fabrics such as, leather, crepe, cudroy and ripped spandex.
“Inspired by the street culture of Lagos this body of work is a celebration of urban fashio, female allure and the creative energy of the city.
“This new releases stands out in the world of streetwear, with its innovative designs, experimental use of materials, and bold aesthetic.
“It is a great example of what happens when fashion is allowed to take risks and explore new territory.
“The collection is a testament to the vision and mission of the brand towards driving sustainable fashion, and is sure to leave a lasting impression on the fashion world,” Creative Director, Asotiayé, Abdulhameed Ayodeji noted.
On her part, Fahoon Designer, Illustrator, Ibifuro Braide explained that the designer’s put in much effort to ensure that the collection is appealing to a variety of fashion lovers.
“The idea for this collection is to make women enjoy the power of their body and natural curves.
“A lot of times Africans and black people are made to feel insecure in most things we wear, could be our adire or our hair but now that we are tilting towards the direction of integrating more fashion forward inventions, anything can be infused and cross cultural fashionable creations can be made”
The collection was unveiled officially and available to order on the 27th of March, 2024 via the brand’s Instagram page.
