The Group Managing Director of Bolton White Hotel, Kingsley Obiukwu, has observed that a strategic collaboration between Nigeria and South Africa has the potential to stimulate economic growth in various sectors in both countries. He made this assertion while speaking at the Diplomatic Business Rendezvous, an event organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Department of Economic, Trade & Investment in partnership with the South Africa High Commission in Abuja.

Obiukwu underscored the pivotal role of cooperation between Nigeria and South Africa in driving economic growth across the continent, emphasizing the importance of fostering strong bilateral relations between the two economic powerhouses. The event, according to him, provided an excellent platform for business leaders and government officials to engage with diplomats, fostering stronger ties between nations and exploring opportunities for economic cooperation. He commended recent initiatives aimed at strengthening ties between Nigeria and South Africa, applauding efforts by both governments to enhance diplomatic relations and facilitate greater cooperation at the bilateral and regional levels.

Obiukwu urged policymakers to prioritise initiatives that promote trade liberalization, remove barriers to investment, and streamline regulatory frameworks to create an enabling environment for businesses to thrive.
