Industrialization: Civil Society group applauds Afrimedical for establishing a top notch, Syringe Factory, calls for Government support.

The Center For Social and Economic Development Advocates (CESDA) has applauded the leadership of Afrimedical and the Mikano International Limited headed by Mr Mofid Karameh.

In a press statement issued by Hon. Famuyibo Oluwasegun of CESDA, Rt. Hon. Abdulmajeed Oyeniyi Speaker Odua Youth Parliament and Comr Emordi Kelvin President of the Southern Nigerian Youth Congress (SNYC), the groups said the new syringe factory is a huge project that will boost the health sector, improve the economy and provide jobs to many Nigerians.

The recent visit of the Minster of State for Health and Social Welfare, Dr. Tunji Alausa, Minister of Trade, Industry and Investment, Mrs. Doris Uzorka – Anite, Minister of State for Youth and Sports Development, Mr. Ayodele Olawande, Director General NAFDAC, Prof. Moji Adeyeye, Chairman NIPC Mrs. Aisha Rimi, the Executive Secretary of CESDA Hon. Famuyibo Oluwasegun to the Afrimedical syringe factory was in line with the government’s initiative to foster local production of medical devices, particularly syringes, while simultaneously combating the use of substandard imported products.

The Afrimedical Syringe factory is a testament to the local capacity of indigenous manufacturing companies to meet the strategic demand of the healthcare sector.
