Gombe State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has passed a vote of confidence on the state Governor, Alhaji Muhammadu Yahaya.
This was contained in a communique it issued yesterday at the end of an expanded State Executive Committee meeting to discuss political developments in the state.
The APC SEC commended the governor “for his dynamic and energetic leadership, especially in these challenging times.”
According to the SEC, “The governor’s dedication to serve his people and deliver on his campaign promises despite pressing economic challenges is a testament to his commitment to their well-being.
“His leadership has been instrumental in delivering essential services and benefits to the greater number of the population, ensuring continuous development and progress across the state despite the economic challenges being faced.”
The party also resolved to pass a vote of confidence on the leadership of the governor acknowledging his remarkable achievements and dedication to serving the people.
It stressed that: “The successful delivery of essential services and benefits, as well as his ability to adapt and overcome challenging circumstances, have been instrumental to the continuous development and progress of the state.”
The state APC also commended the governor’s purpose-driven leadership, and pledged its continued support for his visionary agenda.
It, however, noted with deep concern the continued violation of extant election laws and the constitution of the party by some of its members who are aspiring to run in the 2027 governorship election.
The party strongly condemned the actions of the prospective aspirants for the governorship of the state, and urged them to avoid distracting the government of Governor Yahaya from delivering his campaign promises to the good people of the state.
In the Communique signed by Moses Kyari Bolda, the state publicity secretary, the party stated that: “Accordingly, all political structures and contact committees established by these prospective candidates are hereby disbanded by the party.
“And all loyal party members are urged to refrain from participating in such unlawful campaign activities until all restrictions on political campaigns are lifted.”
