New Executive Officers Emerge in REDAN South-West Zone States

……As VP charges Them On Professionalism

The Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria(REDAN) South-west zone has elected 45 new executives into various positions across the six states in the zone, to run the affairs of its state chapters in the next four years.

Dr Kunle Adeyemi, Vice-President of REDAN, South-West Zone told newsmen in Lagos that the election, which was held on Tuesday, April 18 in Ibadan, was conducted under the supervision of the Real Estate Developers Electoral Committee(REDECO) chaired by Engr. Omololu Bolarinwa.

Adeyemi said, following the massive turnout by REDAN members across the zone for the keenly contested election, Mr Babajide Ogunleye emerged as the Secretary, REDAN South-west zone.

He said, among other officers elected, Dr Tony Aspire Kolawole emerged as the Chairman, REDAN Lagos Chapter, while Dr Chidiebere Etoniru emerged the Vice- Chairman of REDAN Lagos.

In Ogun Chapter, Dr Adeyemi Adeniyi was elected the Chairman, while the position of the Vice Chairman was won by Engr. Eyitayo Oniwide.Dr Muibi Kehinde Hammed is now the new Chairman in Oyo chapter, while Mr Oluwaseun Owoseni is the Vice Chairman.

In Osun Chapter, Dr Adekunle Ibrahim Isreal emerged as the Chairman and
Mr David Abayomi Olabiyi won the seat of Vice Chairman. Hon. Olayato Aribo was elected as the Chairman of Ondo Chapter, while Architect Gbadebo Olamerun emerged as the Secretary. In Ekiti Chapter, Hon. Tomiwa Fayose was elected as the Chairman.

The REDAN South-west zone VP, quoted the REDAN President, Prince Akintoye Adeoye, to have described the election process as the best ever organized in his over 16-years of being an executive of REDAN.

Adeyemi noted that the process of the concluded election for REDAN South-West zone, being the largest zone of the association, was free and fair, excellent precise, accurate, and with high level of transparency and credibility.

He congratulated the newly elected officers and wished them a successful tenure, while charging them to be more professional in their dealings in line with global standards and promote best practices and unity within the association.

The REDAN VP stated that the new officers must be wary that they were elected into their various positions to serve; hence must perform beyond minimum expectations.

He said: “Your elected positions is a call to service ; Noting of value is free, everything of value must cost something and sacrifices.

“It is time to work and change the narrative of REDAN and also assist to address the menace of housing deficit in the country to the bearest minimum. This must be done through advocacy ,promoting the visibility of the association, and influencing of industry policies both locally and internationally. You are expected to enhance collaboration and discipline,to foster advancement in the real estate sector, as it aligns with the mission and vision of the founding fathers of REDAN.”

According to him, the newly elected team in the south-west are highly experienced and professional enough to deliver the mandate entrusted on them, while assuring on his confident in their abilities to succeed.

Adeyemi hinted that following the conclusion of the election, REDAN President, Prince Adeoye, immediately constituted a three-man reconciliation team to address issues as regards aggrieved members of the association, especially those that emanated before the elections.

The VP said the reconciliation team is Chaired by Are Emmanuel King Adetola, GMD, Adron Homes, Co-chaired by Surveyor Kazeem Ajiborode, Former Chairman of Ondo Chapter, while the Secretary is Mr Babajide Ogunleye.

He expressed that the reconciliation team has been given two weeks to submit their report and expected to bring all the aggrieved members of REDAN together as one big family.
