NLO: Deputy Senate President Boosts Own Club with Equipment

The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau Jibrin has supplied new kits, including jerseys, boots, among others to Barau Football Club, ahead of the Nationwide League One (NLO) season.

The kits were unveiled in Kano, by the Chief of Staff to the Deputy President of the Senate, Professor Muhammad Ibn Abdullahi.

Senator Barau has been supporting football and other sporting activities in the state and beyond to promote peace, unity and engage youths.

In his remarks,  Abdullahi described the jerseys as unique and of high quality.

He reiterated the commitments of the Deputy President of the Senate to continue to support the team and the entire youth in Kano State and beyond.

Ibrahim Shitu Chanji, the Chairman of the Barau FC, said the gesture was aimed at  preparing the team for the new season.

“ We are ready for the tournament and we will make our founder and all our supporters proud,” he said.

The club will file out in the new kits when they face Orlu United FC at Dutse Stadium, Jigawa State, on Saturday, April 20, 2024, in the 2023/2024 Nigeria Nationwide League matchday one game.
