Chijioke Franklyn Nwajagu, widely recognized as “Jagus,” is a leading figure in the field of Information Technology consulting. Known for his expertise as a SAGE Business Partner, Jagus has made significant contributions to transforming enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for organizations in Nigeria and beyond. He currently serves as Partner & Head Technical at Consultingbord Limited, where he leads in architecting and implementing ERP solutions that drive business growth and efficiency.

Early Life and Education

Born on July 4, 1967, in Ndiowu, Anambra State, Jagus’ educational journey began at National Grammar School Nike (NAGRAMS) in Enugu, where he first developed a passion for both art and technology. He went on to earn a degree from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, in 1994, solidifying his academic foundation in a way that would later support his pivot into the tech industry. Jagus also holds certifications as a Sage Technical Consultant, further enhancing his professional credibility.

A Creative Foundation in Art

Before his transition to a career in IT, Jagus was a well-regarded mature painter although he never exhibited he works publicly. Reflecting on his early days, he recalls how art played an integral role in his life, particularly during his school years. “Back in secondary school and university days, I supplemented the pocket money given to me by undertaking painting commissions for fellow students, friends, and family,” he shares. Beyond traditional paintings, Jagus also designed greeting, birthday, and special occasion cards, building a reputation as a creative talent among his peers.

While his career shifted to focus on IT, Jagus continues to paint as a hobby. “I still paint but only as a pastime,” he explains. He has even created a mini studio-gallery in his home, where he displays his artworks and envisions a potential exhibition in the future.

A Distinguished Career in IT

Jagus’ career in technology began at Synergy Systems Limited, where he served as General Manager. Synergy, an authorized reseller of Tetra (now Sage Enterprise), gave Jagus his first major professional exposure to ERP systems. Building on this experience, he founded Primesymbol Consulting, a Sage Business Partner firm that specialized in deploying enterprise-wide solutions for companies in finance, manufacturing, and oil and gas sectors across Nigeria.

Primesymbol’s success eventually led to a merger with Consultingbord, a prominent company based in Lagos that shared Primesymbol’s focus on ERP solutions. Today, as Partner & Head Technical at Consultingbord, Jagus plays a critical role in leading projects that enable Nigerian businesses to modernize and optimize their operations.

Personal Life and Legacy

Jagus currently resides in Lagos, Nigeria, and is blessed with three children. While his career is focused on IT, his creative spirit remains intact, with painting serving as a cherished pastime and a reminder of his artistic roots. As an IT consultant, he has contributed extensively to advancing the technological landscape in Nigeria, all while keeping his passion for art alive within his personal life.
