Ugbosu Receive Awards for Contributions to IT Education in Nigeria
Dr. Joyce Ugbosu, a renowned expert in Information Technology (IT) Education, has received multiple awards for her outstanding contributions to the sector.
Announcing in a statement recently, she disclosed that her brand was honored with several awards for exceptional contributions and innovative solutions in IT and education.
She said as a passionate childhood development advocate, her dream became a reality when she established a centre where information technology education is introduced to children early in life.
Listing some of her awards, Ugbosu said, “The awards include the Top Computer Training Centre Award by Top Notch Nigeria Business & Professionals Awards, Fellow/Partner of Federal University of Petroleum Resources (FUPRE), Effurun, Delta State.”
Additionally, the expert added that she received the Uncommon Child Educator, Social Entrepreneur & Value Rebirth Champion Award from the Delta State Government.
Dr. Ugbosu expressed that the Uncommon Child Educator Award holds a special place in her heart, as it recognizes her dedication to innovative teaching methods that empower children.
The entrepreneur is recognized as the founder of The Lakewood British School in Lekki-Ajah, Lagos, Nigeria, which has been a driving force behind her success and recognition.
She added further that these awards validate the importance of providing exceptional IT education and its impact on empowering individuals and driving societal progress in general.
The IT expert, emphasized that the Top Computer Training Centre Award acknowledges her dedication to delivering high-quality IT education and her commitment to excellence in the field.
“Also, being decorated as a Fellow/Partner of FUPRE holds special significance for me as it includes a tree planted in my honor in the School of Sciences building, named the “Digital Joyce Ugbosu tree” in recognition of my efforts in climate change and sustainability.” She said.
As the founder of these institutions, Dr. Ugbosu remains committed to her mission of empowering individuals through IT education and driving positive change in the education sector, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) to change lives, create job opportunities, and alleviate poverty.
