Emore Grammar School Old Students Inaugurate Corpers’ Lodge
The Corpers’ Lodge built and equipped by the Lagos branch of the Emore Grammar School, Oleh Old Students Association will be inaugurated tomorrow, Friday, May 10, 2024 at 11.00 a.m by the Delta State Co-ordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Mr. Olusegun Aleo as special guest of honour.
According to a statement by Chairman of the Commissioning Committee, Comrade Emmanuel Ekebe, the event will take place at the School Ground, Oleh Headquarters of Isoko South Local Government Area.
The event will be chaired by Grand Patron of the Isoko Development Union (IDU), who is also a pioneer student of the school, Isoko High Chief Iduh Amadhe, South Local Government Area.
The statement also disclosed that the Corpers’ lodge is being named after the pioneer principal of the school, the Late Dr. Obaro Aso, while the Odiologbo of Oleh, His Royal Highness Williams Ovrawah, Omogha 1 will be the Royal Father of the day.
Also, another old student of the school, Bishop Sam Oyede, Founder and Presiding Bishop of the God’s Fountain of Life Bible Church, Oleh will be the Spiritual Father of the day.
Other key personalities expected to grace the event as guests of honour are High Chief and Chief (Mrs) Eta Enahoro; Dame Gloria Onowakpo and Dr. (Mrs) A.A. Ejedimu, Permanent Secretary, PPEB, Delta South Senatorial District; all old students of the school. Other guests of honour are Late Dr. Obaro Aso’s wife and children; Hon. Bino Obuwomano, member representing Isoko South Constituency I in the State House of Assembly and Chief Victor Egbo, Commissioner representing Isoko Ethnic Nationality in DESOPADEC.
The Commissioning which will have the National President of the EMOGRAMS Old Students’ Association Prof. Eric Oghounu, and the School Principal Mrs. Egwero Beatrice as Chief Hosts will feature varieties show including cultural displays, poems, songs, drama and a parade by the serving youth corpers in the school. The event will be attended by EMOGRAMMS Old Students from within and outside the state.
