Drama as Adekunle Gold, Samklef Clash on Social Media

Social media feud has erupted between artistes Samklef and Adekunle Gold, extended the feud in the industry.

It all began when music producer and artiste, Samklef publicly called out singer-songwriter Simi, accusing her of ingratitude despite his alleged contributions to her career and discovery.

Samklef also disclosed his past feelings for Simi, revealing that he had refrained from pursuing a romantic relationship due to his desire to keep personal and professional boundaries intact, especially after her breakup with a former boyfriend. But for the controversial producer, he shared that if he gets a formal apology he would water down his onslaughts but if that doesn’t happen he wouldn’t relent in his pursuit to keep making statements.

Simi’s husband, Adekunle Gold, swiftly responded on X, defending his wife and dismissing Samklef’s claims of entitlement. He criticised Samklef’s behavior and recounted an alleged incident where payment was made for a production that was never delivered. But in his defense, AD ensured he kept his reactions mildly and precise towards addressing the uproar started by the producer.

Despite criticism from music fans, Samklef continued his online tirade, hinting at exposing Simi’s ex-boyfriend but failing to follow through. As the drama unfolded, Simi maintained a dignified silence, focusing instead on promoting her upcoming single and teasing a potential album release.

Meanwhile, in the course of that, Samklef persisted in promoting his new project and flaunting social media milestones, prompting questions about his motives—whether for attention or airing personal grievances. 

He claimed to have been advised against further drama with the couple, raising concerns about the necessity of the initial controversy. As the saga continues, the Nigerian music community awaits whether this drama would subside or escalate, highlighting the complexities of relationships and reputations in the industry.
