Odumodublvck is Up to Something

When one had thought Nigerian rapper, performer and songwriter, Odumodublvck unknowingly incurred the anger of his friend and colleague, Davido to which he un-followed him on Instagram, owing to the clash the ‘Omo Baba Olowo’  crooner had with his arch-rival, Wizkid, it appears Odumodu, is up to something.

The ‘Declan Rice’ hit-maker has a new offering titled “Industry Machine” after months of teasing his fans and followers on the internet. The new single sees Davido adding his musical flair to this song. The artist’s commitment and hard work were evident in this latest composition, “Industry Machine,” an online music platform wrote.

So, both artists – Davido and Odumodu – may be cool after all…

Wizkid and Davido engaged in a war of words on social media last week after the former mocked the latter and Don Jazzy, the Mavin Records head honcho. Wizkid had called Don Jazzy an “influencer” while taunting Davido with a video of him on his knees, allegedly pleading and crying for sex.

Davido also retaliated, labeling Wizkid’s career as “dead”. Wizkid’s posts attracted criticism from a segment of social media users, including celebrities. During the heated exchange between the superstars Wizkid and Davido, Odumodu, who had always pledged allegiance to Davdio and shown appreciation, had a brief timeline chat with Wizkid.

The latter had expressed appreciation for the popular Nigerian prophet Chukwuemeka Odumeje, aka Abidoshaker. In the ensuing episode, the ‘Dog Eat Dog’ singer, Odumodu, got entangled in the situation.  He reacted to it by delivering Wizkid’s message to Odumeje, which led to friendly communication on X, formerly known as twitter with a couple of retweets from both ends.

While this was going on, Davido and Wizkid were still dragging each other over the timeline. It left not a few wondering which side Odumodu was, knowing his friendship with Davido. Odumodublvck and Davido had shared the new sound snippet via their social media in January 2024.

Since his emergence on the Nigerian music scene, Odumodublvck has achieved impressive accolades and recognition, winning Best Rap Single and Rookie of the Year at the 16th Headies Awards in 2023. His most recent album, ‘Eziokwu,’ maintained the top spot on Spotify Nigeria for 11 consecutive weeks, setting new records.

The album has tracks such as ‘Dog Eat Dog’, ‘Blood on the Dance’ featuring Bloody Civilian and Wale, ‘Declan Rice’ and much more. Social media users are of the opinion that the gifted artist Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogu aka Odumodublvck drops more songs than taking advantage in ruckus.
