“By leveraging cutting-edge technologies tools, practitioners will be able to analyze and optimize project outcomes more deeply, thereby improving the effectiveness and scalability of social impact initiatives,” Chikwe remarked.

Emphasizing the importance of technology on social impact initiatives, she added, “Artificial Intelligence can be instrumental in helping non-governmental organizations devise sustainable funding models, identify at-risk segments, and mitigate risks promptly.”

Chikwe believes that technology can also help policy advocates refine the impact of their implementations and strategize on how best to lobby for the adoption and implementation of policies.

In highlighting how tech can be used as a force for good, she notes “While moving to a data-informed approach in advocacy is crucial, practitioners must never overlook the stories that data may be blind or biased toward. Real people’s lived experiences cannot be fully conveyed through trend lines and bar charts.”
