SheCan Do More: Conference Aims to Empower Women

The SheCan Nigeria initiative has announced its upcoming conference, “SheCan Do More 5.0,” scheduled for May 24 at Harbor Point, Victoria Island. The theme, “Positioning for More,” aims to empower women to reach greater heights in their careers, businesses, and personal lives. The conference, organized by SheCan Nigeria, a movement dedicated to empowering women in Nigeria, expects over 4,000 participants this year.


At a press conference hosted at Optiva Capital’s headquarters, Ezinne Ezeani, founder of SheCan Nigeria, emphasized the importance of women being able to “Be More” in every facet of life, regardless of background, gender, religion, or limitations. She expressed gratitude to lead sponsor Optiva Capital Partners and other loyal partners, including Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company Limited (SNEPCo) and Wema Bank, for their support.


Dr. Jane Kimemia, CEO of Optiva Capital Partners, highlighted the significance of women’s contributions to society and the firm’s commitment to empowering women, with over 70% of their workforce comprising women. The conference will feature renowned speakers, including Fela and Tara Durotoye, Shaffy Bello, Audrey Joe-Ezigbo, Grace Ofure Ibhakhomu, Ololade Ogungbenro, and others.
