Anita Odiete Wins WAMASON Award for Leadership in Circular Economy
Anita Odiete, a leader in the sustainable waste management industry, was recently recognized by the Waste Management Society Of Nigeria(WAMASON)Lagos Council at the recently held Eko Waste Summit.
This award celebrates her outstanding contributions to promoting a circular economy through her company, Atunlo.
Odiete’s impactful initiatives include:
Empowering Communities: Through Atunlo, she successfully sensitized over 4,500 households on the importance of recycling, fostering a culture of environmental responsibility
Incentivizing Action: Atunlo’s innovative programs have incentivised individuals with over N120m to collect over 670T of recyclable materials, creating a win-win situation for both the environment and local communities
Transforming Waste: Odiete champions the creation of valuable products from recycled materials, demonstrating the economic and environmental potential of a circular economy.
