SystemSpecs to Unveil Nigeria’s Next Tech Champions

Technology company, SystemSpecs has announced that it will be unveiling Nigerian new tech champions who emerged from its just concluded Children’s Day Essay Competition.

Managing Director of Remita, Deremi Atanda said that the initiative stemmed from the company’s commitment to bridging the technology skill gap in Nigeria, adding that it was part of the firm’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

He explained that the initiative now in its fifth year has inspired and cultivated the critical thinking, leadership and advocacy skills of young Nigerians between the ages of 9 and 16.

He said the 2024 champions will be unveiled on Children’s Day, May 27 in a virtual event.

“We are thrilled to recognize and celebrate these young Nigerian tech champions who exemplify our values – innovation and diligence in pursuit of excellence. Our goal is to nurture these talents and support their development, contributing to Nigeria’s technological advancement.” he said.

On her part, Group Head, Corporate Services, Bukola Adeboye said the children’s turnout for this year’s competition across the country was overwhelming, indicating the exceptional talent and potential of Nigerian youth.

“We are grateful to all the judges who played a crucial role in the evaluation process. Their expertise and dedication have been instrumental in identifying and celebrating the deserving winners of this competition”.

He informed that winners will be announced by members of the executive leadership of SystemSpecs Group, alongside digital content creator and strategist, Miss. Tobi Ayeni at the virtual ceremony.  

“There will be a physical ceremony in June where winners will be honoured with prizes, certificates, and opportunities for mentorship and growth in the tech industry”, she disclosed.
