Nigerian model, and now renowned fashion designer, Isi Atagamen, recently dazzled the style scene with the unveiling of her highly anticipated 2024 summer collection from her eponymous fashion label.

Inspired by the sun, the summer collection boasts an array of styles deeply rooted in African culture. From beautifully draped fabrics that are locally sourced and dyed, to intricately designed pieces that accentuate the feminine figure, with each garment telling a story of African heritage and craftsmanship.

“Since 2023, I decided to also have a range that goes traditional because I’ve had a hunger for my roots, to be able to visit our African heritage and get people to start to appreciate our homegrown pieces. It was about the Aso oke, it was about the adire, interpreting them in my own language and in my own style. And that is why I was able to create these pieces,” Atagamen revealed.

The unveiling was not just a showcase of exquisite designs but also marked the momentous launch of her Fashion and Beauty Lounge equipped with a potpourri of lifestyle offerings. It seamlessly blends fashion, a beauty spa, and a section for an art exhibition. According to Atagamen, her new venture is poised to be a haven for those seeking glamour and relaxation.

An evening of finger foods, drinks, and infectious music, the double event hosted a handful of fashion lovers, art critics, and a few society figures, including Helen Prest-Ajayi, a lawyer and former pageant titleholder.
