Governor Biodun Oyebanji hails Prophet Sam Olu-Alo over commissioning of radio station in Ekiti
Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji has commended the Planter of Christ Apostolic Church Adamimogo Grace of Mercy Prayer Mountain Worldwide, Prophet Sam Olu-Alo, for deeming it fit to establish a Radio Station in Ekiti the state.
The governor while commending the Cleric for the well-intentioned initiative, also assured him of the state government’s support in ensuring a thriving environment for the media outfit.
The radio station, Adamimogo 107.7FM, is the third to be commissioned in the Adamimogo’s franchise after Adamimogo 93.1FM in Lekki, Lagos, and Adamimogo 105.1FM in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Speaking at the commissioning, Governor Oyebanji who was represented by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of information Pastor Olusesan Alabi, thanked the Cleric that his decision to site the media outfit in Ekiti has largely assisted the State government in addressing unemployment challenges and information dissemination to the residents.
Highlights of the event included cutting of birthday cake, commissioning of Christ Apostolic Church Oke-Isegun’s Maternity Faith Home, donated by Prophet Alo, and commissioning of Adamimogo 107.7FM, the third in Adamimogo’s franchise after Adamimogo 93.1FM in Lekki, Lagos, and Adamimogo 105.1FM in Ibadan, Oyo State.
In his remarks, Prophet Olu-Alo expressed strong determination to ensure that a good number of unemployed Nigerian youths are brought into farming as he has resolved to engage in Oil Palm, Piggery, Rice, Cassava and Maize Farming.
The Cleric said he decided to Embark on the 300 hectares multi-million naira agricultural project that would be sited in three communities in Ekiti State with a view to further making his own contribution towards reducing the upsurge of youths unemployment in Nigeria.
Prophet Alo who was elevated recently by the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Worldwide to the position of Zonal Superintendent of the Grace and Mercy Zone, Nigeria and Overseas made the disclosure at the weekend while commissioning one of his media outfits, Radio Adamimogo 107.7FM at Ido-Ekiti, his country home in Ekiti State.
According to him, “Nigerian Youths are suffering, government at all levels has a role to play in this regard but they can’t solve all their problems and the individuals also have role to play by gearing more concerted efforts at making them employable.”
He, however gave an assurance that “everything God gives him in life” would be deployed towards uplifting the youths in the society stressed that the Radio Station he established in his homestead was part of his determination to engage the youths meaningfully.
The Clergyman lamented that many rich Nigerians have failed the country due to what he described as their “selfish attitude” being allegedly displayed towards youths emancipation in the society adding that, had it been that they(the rich) had used their resources being kept elsewhere abroad to establish industries at home that Nigeria would have been better in term of employment by now.
Buttressing his grave concerns for the pathetic situation that Nigerian youths are passing through at the moment, the man of God said he observed that the alarming increase in kidnapping and other crimes and criminality praying that “God should open the eyes of the rich Nigerians” to enable them know the right things to do for their people.
The religious leader however urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to buckle up and address the myriads of socio-economic problems bedeviling the country and admonished him to bring on board those who are genuinely committed to making his vision realizable.
In a goodwill message, the Chairman of Adamimogo FM, Nigeria, Elder Afolabi Imoukhoude, extolled Prophet Olu-Alo for his holistic approach to impacting people’s lives.
He said Prophet Olu-Alo not only addressed people’s problems via messages but had taken time to address their physical, psychological, and social well-being through various establishments under the Adamimogo Global outreach, comprising palliatives to widows and the elderly, a global sports team known as Adamimogo FC which discovers and nurtures soccer talents, as well as the media arm and world-standard health facility.
Similarly, the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Ekiti, Dayo Apata, (SAN) described Prophet Olu-Alo as a friend and brother whom God has used tremendously to impact lives positively.
He thanked God for the cleric’s life and sought divine strength for him to continue to excel.
The Regional Superintendent CAC Essien Region and Benin Republic, Pastor Isaac Eyebiokin, hailed Prophet Olu-Alo for giving hope to Nigerians at a time of economic troubles.
Also commending the Cleric, the traditional ruler of the community, the Olojudo of Ido-Ekiti,Oba Ayorinde Ilori in his remarks on the occasion lauded the efforts made by Prophet Sam Olu Alo at ensuring that youths are gainfully employed by the time the project commenced and also thanked him for establishing the Radio Station in his domain.
While speaking at the event, the Olojudo Of Ido Faboro-Ekiti, and chairman, Ekiti State Traditional Council Of Obas, said that in Olu-Alo, he had found a passionate being who matched his vision for the growth of Ido-Ekiti.
He said he had jokingly asked Olu-Alo to set up his next radio station in his hometown in October, 2023 affirming that charity begins at home, and was expressly excited to launch the station eight months after the pronouncement.
He described Prophet Olu Alo as a special gift to Ekiti and particularly his homestead, Ido-Ekiti and used the forum to urged other indigenes of the community to emulate the good gesture.
