FRSC: New Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed Takes Over

The federal government, through the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Senator George Akume, Tuesday, in Abuja, decorated the newly appointed Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed.

To this effect, Corp Marshal Shehu Mohammed, officially takes over the affairs of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).

Performing the ceremony, Akume said that government was expecting more from the FRSC new boss, advising him to use his wealth of experience to carry out the mandate of the Corps, while ensuring safer roads for all.

According to Akume, “The position is a sensitive one, it requires much to reduce the carnage on Nigerian roads and restore sanity on the highways.

“The FRSC was created to make life more meaningful and to make the road safer for all road users in the country. We wish you the best on this new assignment because the job is sensitive and very important.

 “The government is expecting much from you and we hope that you will use your experience to drive the FRSC for safety of lives and property.

The SGF however commended the FRSC for various initiatives toward reducing Road Traffic Trashes (RTCs) and fatalities across the country.
