Sioux Falls awaits Welterweight contender Don Madge, as he goes into hard training to knock down Neiman Gracie, in the upcoming Professional Fighters League (PFL), on June 28, 2024.

Speaking virtually with journalists recently, Madge admitted Gracie is a good fighter but can’t match his wrestling skills.

He said: “I can tell you that my preparation is going well. I have two hard weeks and I have been training with good guys. My opponent is good but I’m sure my wrestling will be too much for him and I’m going to take him to the ground.

“I expect a tough fight. Nieman is a very experienced opponent, and I anticipate he’ll try to take the fight to the ground. My preparation has been focused on countering that strategy.”

While speaking about his preparation, he expressed enthusiasm about the PFL Africa launching soon, and said it’s a good platform that will give African fighters the opportunity to showcase their skills.

“PFL Africa is a great opportunity for African fighters to break into the global scene. The opportunity to break into the global market has been difficult but the PFL Africa is incredible and African fighters will shine. A Lot of people have been dedicated to this sport and it already looks like it will pay off very soon.

“Kudos to PFL because they have been moving around, especially Africa to see developing sports enthusiasts. The next couple of years will be amazing,” he said.

Speaking on legacy, Madge hinted he has been training African fighters through his Mad Fit situated in Cape Town, South Africa.

“My coach and I have been training for years before we started the Mad Fit. We were very like-minded in our approach and the way we prepared for the fight. We started small and now we have one of the biggest facilities in South Africa. We have got good prospects and professional boxers coming around.

“I’m so happy about the achievement because it has allowed me to love and train in my hometown. Today we have got international trainees and we have been training a lot of people. I’m so excited about this,” he said.
