Hitting the golden age at this perilous time when the age limit for Nigerians is under 50 is a big deal that calls for celebration. Being hale and hearty, kicking with life in good health and wealth is indeed worthy of celebration.

For property and real estate magnate Bamidele Onalaja, founder of RevolutionPlus Property Development Company; a business conglomerate that encompasses all aspects of real estate, from designing, building, consulting and selling of landed properties, throwing a mega soiree in celebration of his 50th birthday is quite necessary.

Having moved through the heavy tides of business, standing tall and thriving is something that should warrant a mega soiree where one will spare no cost to celebrate.

A few weeks ago, at the Monarch event centre in Lekki, Lagos, Onalaja hosted a black and gold-themed party where he feted guests to royalty. Onalaja is known not to do things in half measure, so when he celebrated his birthday, it was like a book with various chapters.

The array of finger foods, and local and continental dishes; everyone who attended savoured their taste buds. Moving to cognac, whisky, vintage red and white wines and champagnes; the supply was endless. All those who attended would not forget in a hurry.

On the bandstand, Yinka Aiyefele didn’t fail to serenade guests with his Tungba tune. The birthday boy, who had different attire, had a three-feet gigantic black and gold cake. The cutting was moderated by Amaju Pinnick, the former President of the Nigerian Football Federation. Various monarchs, comedians, actors and celebrities also stormed the soiree to celebrate with the jolly good fellow.
