GoLearn Empowers Youths On Financial Education At Osun Finance Conference

In a bid to foster financial literacy among Nigerian youths, GoLearn, a non-governmental organization, has organized a groundbreaking finance conference in Osun State.

The event aimed to equip young individuals with the necessary knowledge and skills to achieve financial independence.

Speaking at the event, founder of GoLearn, Olubori Paul, reiterated the organization’s unwavering dedication to empowering youth across Nigeria and Africa.

Highlighting GoLearn’s extensive reach and commitment to financial empowerment, Paul said that, “We have impacted 100,000 young people. We want young people to learn how to make money, manage money, and also multiply money.

At the event, different prizes were won like, a plot of land, N350,000 grants, $1000 worth of forex training for 10 people, N1 million for youth businesses, while a student won N150,000 for her chin chin business and A a fully funded business rebranding for another student.

At the event some distinguished speakers at the conference shared invaluable insights on financial strategies and investment opportunities.

For Ofoegbu Uzonma Kolawole, he emphasized the significance of real estate investment, stating, “Investing in Real Estate helps to protect your money against inflation. When you invest in Real Estate, it doesn’t depreciate, it appreciates.”

However, Ayodeji Ogundeyi Dax advised attendees to focus on mastering one skill or venture before diversifying their investments.

According to him, “Focus on one thing, perfect it. And when that one thing starts bringing in money, you can then diversify,” urged Dax, emphasizing the importance of patience and expertise in wealth-building.”

Meanwhile, the Head of Innovation at Wema Bank, Solomon Ayodele, underscored the importance of acquiring value and expertise.

Ayodele urged participants to prioritize continual learning and skill development.

“Some of you want money first and value later. What does value mean? Knowing how to learn when you should learn,”

The Osun Finance Conference, following successful editions in Lagos and Oyo State, marks a significant stride towards enhancing financial literacy and empowerment among Nigerian youths. With plans underway to expand the conference series to Ilorin and beyond, GoLearn remains steadfast in its mission to transform the financial landscape for the betterment of future generations.
