Presco Plc. Announces New Leadership to Drive Strategic Growth

Presco Plc., a leading agro-industrial company, has announced the appointment of Reji George as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective June 7, 2024. George brings over 30 years of experience in plantation and farm management across continents, with expertise in managing large-scale rubber and tea plantations in India and fully integrated commercial farms in East and West Africa.

As MD/CEO, George will leverage his strategic knowledge and industry experience to drive Presco’s operations, expansion, and development plans. He previously served as Vice President – Farming at Olam International, where he led large-scale facility development, government-partnered initiatives, and environmentally sound programs.

George expressed his excitement about joining Presco, stating, “I look forward to collaborating with stakeholders to drive the company’s continuous transformation and growth.” He aims to optimize market opportunities and streamline operations, positioning Presco for sustainable growth and innovation in the palm plantation industry.

The appointment follows the elevation of Felix Nwabuko to Group CEO of SIAT NV Group and the retirement of Chief James Erhuero from Presco’s board. New directors appointed include Olakanmi Rasheed Sarumi, Abdul Akhor Bello, and Grace Titilayo Osuntoki, who bring strategic knowledge and industry experience to elevate Presco’s business approach.

The new leadership team is poised to drive Presco’s growth and sustainability initiatives, leveraging their collective expertise to deepen the company’s impact in Nigeria’s oil palm industry.
