The Outpouring New York, a significant Christian event, amplified holiness as a master key for Christians to attract God’s blessings.

The one-day prayer gathering was held on Sunday, 23rd June 2024 at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York, United States.

The event attracted thousands of attendees from across the United States, both in person and online, for an evening of intense worship, revival, and intercessory prayer.

It featured prominent Christian leaders, including the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, who was accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Foluke Adeboye.

Adeboye delivered a powerful message focusing on the concept of “master keys” that can open doors to spiritual and physical breakthroughs.

In his sermon, he emphasised several key spiritual principles “Faith, love, prayer, worship, and holiness”, he listed.

The RCCG general overseer particularly stressed the importance of faith, citing Mark 9:3 and Mark 11:23-24 to illustrate its significance in the spiritual realm.

Adeboye presented a hierarchy of spiritual “master keys,” each building upon and surpassing the previous one in power and effectiveness.

“While faith is powerful, it is limited by a greater master key called love. As stated in Galatians 5:6, faith operates through love.

“Love supersedes faith, enabling it to function fully,” he harped on, quoting James 4:2, which suggests that prayer is even more potent than love, as it is through asking that we receive.

Engaging the congregation further, the RCCG general overseer insisted that worship transcends prayer in its ability to attract God’s presence and prompt His quick response.

He chipped in: “God is present wherever He is worshipped. Worship elicits a faster divine response than prayer alone.

“Christians should focus on praising God,” says Adeboye. “Holiness,” he continued, “Is the ultimate master key, surpassing all others.”

He attributed the remarkable growth of the RCCG to this principle, holiness. “From 38 small branches in Nigeria to 39 branches in New York City alone.”

Adeboye also wowed the congregation with the church’s global expansion, including its presence in challenging locations like Libya.

He soon shared that he learned the secret of holiness as the greatest master key early in his life, crediting it for the extraordinary growth and influence of his ministry.

An altar call was made for individuals who wish to give their lives to Christ and begin living a holy life. The message emphasised that the Almighty God desires to save souls and forgive all sins.

Some of the Biblical references Adeboye cited to support the call to salvation and holy living are Mark 11, Galatians 5:6, Jeremiah 33:3, Deuteronomy 28:1-13, Exodus 15:26, Isaiah 59:1-2, Mark 1:40, Matthew 15:21-28, and John 4:23-24.

The prayer conference featured a variety of musical performances, including a saxophonist, lead singers, and groups like Intervarsity Ministration, Redeemed Christian Fellowship, and Campus Ovation.

Notable worship leader, Dunsin Oyekan, known for his energetic and firebrand music style, charged the congregation with his dominant vocals and rollicking ministration.

He led the congregation in great worship sessions while Naomi Raine and Tomi Favoured followed swiftly.

These artistes, along with the groups, brought rhythmic instrumentation that enriched the worship experience.
