EGO Foundation Empowers 4000 Women in Oshogbo and Akure

Project SheEnabled, initiated by EGO Foundation, recently concluded its impactful sessions in Oshogbo and Akure, aligning closely with EGO Foundation’s mission to empower women through education and economic opportunities.

This initiative significantly enhanced financial and digital literacy for women in business across these regions.

The session in Oshogbo, held on the 26th of June, saw an enthusiastic turnout of participants eager to advance their business skills. The program offered practical, hands-on training that provided valuable knowledge and skills directly applicable to their enterprises. Participants gained a strong foundation in financial literacy, including budgeting, financial planning, and effective money management.

Additionally, they were equipped with essential technological skills, learning how to leverage digital tools for marketing, sales, and business operations.

Similarly, the event in Akure on the 28th of June continued the momentum, delivering comprehensive business strategy sessions that provided insights into creating sustainable business models, scaling operations, and competitive market analysis. Access Bank, a major sponsor and partner, played a pivotal role by assisting participants in creating bank accounts to help manage their business finances in line with the principles taught during the sessions.

Project SheEnabled was supported by other partners such as Truecaller, and Worden HCD, whose contributions were instrumental in the success of the events. Truecaller provided valuable insights into digital communication and security. The collaborative effort of these partners ensured that participants received well-rounded, training and support.

EGO Foundation’s vision of creating a society where women are empowered to achieve their full potential through education and economic empowerment was evident throughout the project. By equipping women with essential business skills and fostering a supportive community, Project SheEnabled not only enhances individual livelihoods but also contributes to broader economic growth and development in Oshogbo and Akure.
With the successful completion of both events, Project SheEnabled empowered over 4000 women across Oshogbo and Akure. This initiative stands as a testament to the power of education and support in transforming the business landscape for women.
