NYA Appoints Ajagun Peter as Director-General of CDI
The National Youth Alliance (NYA) has announced has appointed Dr. Ajagun Olusegun Peter, PhD, as the Director-General of the Centre for Democratic Innovation (CDI).
Dr. Ajagun, a distinguished financial expert and lecturer in the Department of Accounting at Lagos State University (LASU), brings extensive experience to his new role. Holding a Doctorate in Forensic Accounting, he is expected to leverage his expertise to foster innovation and growth at the Centre.
In a statement released by Hon. Jacob Dickson, Special Adviser to the NYA Youth President and National Chairman, Ambassador Aliyu Bin Abbas, the Youth President praised Dr. Ajagun’s credentials and expressed confidence in his ability to lead the Centre towards its objectives.
“As the resource and intellectual department of the NYA, the CDI will be responsible for organizing seminars, workshops, and training programs in governance, party organization, and administration, among other areas.
With his extensive background in finance and accounting, Dr. Ajagun is well-positioned to drive the Centre’s mission to promote democratic values and innovation among young people,” the statement concluded.
Dr. Ajagun Olusegun Peter (PhD) is a lecturer in the Department of Financial Accounting, Faculty of Management Sciences, at Lagos State University. He is the Coordinator of the Lagos State University Centre for Financial Forensic, Investigation and Data Analytics (LASU-CFFI&DA) and the Program Coordinator for the Taxation Unit in the same faculty.
Dr. Ajagun was born in Lagos on March 14, 1980, and hails from Oka-Akoko in Ondo State, Southwest Nigeria.

He currently serve as a lecturer, Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUST), Lagos State University, Ọjọ (February 4, 2020, to date); and Lecturer, Lagos State University, Ọjọ́ (August 2018 to date).
