Schneider Electric Drives Sensitization on Standard Schneider Electric Products at Alaba Market

Schneider Electric, global leader in energy management and automation, has conducted a sensitization campaign at Alaba International Market, Ojo, Lagos, Nigeria, to raise awareness about counterfeit products posing as genuine Schneider Electric items, ensuring safety, reliability, and authenticity for consumers.
The campaign sought to educate customers and prospective buyers on the importance of purchasing authentic products.
Present at the market roadshow were Omobolanle Omotayo, Marketing Communications Manager; Nurudeen Oyedeji, Channels Sales Director; Obinna Uche, Retail Sales Specialist; Oluwamuyiwa Akinmejiwa, Sales Director; and other key personnel..
Speaking at the event, Marketing Communications Manager, Omobolanle Omotayo, said, that, “The goal of this roadshow campaign is to curb the purchase of pseudo–Schneider Electric products by educating customers about the presence of counterfeit products and teaching them how to identify authorized resellers and distributor.”
Omobolanle emphasized, “One of the ways customers can identify an authorized reseller is through the presence of a Schneider Electric signage and the disparity in prices between the pseudo and original.”
On his part, Channels Sales Director, Schneider Electric, Anglophone West Africa, Nurudeen Oyedeji, significantly potentiated the critical importance of end-users purchasing from authorized resellers.
He elaborated on the severe consequences of buying knockoffs from unauthorized resellers, “Purchasing counterfeit products results in zero product warranty, poor quality, nondurability, health and safety risks, and environmental harm. It leads to unnecessary repairs and financial loss.
“Authorized resellers and distributors are present in Alaba market. All Schneider Electric customers are advised to purchase strictly from these distributors to avoid the detrimental effects of counterfeit products.
“This initiative reflects Schneider Electric’s proactive approach to combating counterfeit products and ensuring that customers receive the high-quality, reliable solutions they expect. The sensitization campaign at Alaba International Market is a crucial step in protecting consumers and maintaining the integrity of Schneider Electric’s brand.”
