Accolades As ICT Expert, Christopher Okonkwo Bags Africa CEO Merit Awards

A renowned ICT manager, Christopher Okonkwo has been recognized at the recently concluded Africa CEO Merit Awards which held in Abuja.

He was honoured as Most Innovative Africa IT Expert of the year in the 8th edition of the Africa CEO Merit Awards organised by Goodwill Ambassador Agency.

The award was received by a representative on behalf of the US-based ICT specialist.

This is one of the series of awards he has received in recent times in acknowledgment of his contributions towards the development of ICT in Africa and Nigeria in particular.

Earlier, he also bagged the Silent Hero in recognition of his outstanding contributions to youth empowerment, nation-building and enhancement of the ICT ecosystem.

Okonkwo has attracted accolades in recent times for his innovations which have helped in improving services in the banking and health sector through the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Others honoured at the Africa CEO Merit Awards include, the Group Managing Director & Chairman Adron Homes & Properties Limited, Oba Adetola Emmanuelking who bagged lifetime achievement award.

Other winners include, the MD/CEO Alvon Group, Amb. Dr. Ojukwu Chinedu Patrick, Handy Gidi which won Most Innovative Indigenous Furniture Company of the Year, President/Founder Majorkings Agency Group, Amb. Dr. Temisan O. Louis, Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria 2012.

The Africa CEO Merit Awards was instituted by the Goodwill Ambassador Agency to honour deserving Africans in recognition of their hard work.

In his remark, Amb. Dr. Chris Odey, founder of Goodwill Ambassador Agency, stated that the honour given to the recipients is in recognition of their high productivity, hard work and excellence.
