BluDive, IBM unveil technology to revolutionise Nigeria’s IT sector
IBM in collaboration with BluDive Technologies have launched a new application performance management technology, Instana to revolutionise Nigeria’s IT industry.
The move according to the company was to reaffirm its commitment to supporting and empowering businesses to enhance their IT operations especially in an evolving technology environment.
Speaking on the sidelines of the launch of Instana tagged “Observability and Monitoring”, the Chief Executive Officer BluDive Technologies, Abdul-Azeez Musa, explained that the launch was also to showcase an IBM solution that would bring reprieve to an old problem which most environments suffer from trying to monitor and observe their IT environment.
“You will agree with me that every year, because of the complexities of our environment, IT has become a lot more complex than it was a few years ago.
“There are key applications that we have to ensure that they are working optimally on a day-to-day basis and an hour-to-hour basis because if one of those applications breaks, the next thing you hear is that ATMs are down, transfers are not going through, so is the problems we have in today a reality, so the solution we are showing is the IBM Instana which is a monitoring and observing tool that will help to narrow down troubleshooting and try to optimise your environment,” he assured.
According to him, an issue that would take a couple of days, could be narrowed down in just a few minutes to fix deploying the use of the latest technology.
“Compared to every other solution that is in the market, it stands out. It is good value for money compared to other solutions.
“This is a tool you can bring into your environment to help you optimise your operations and applications. It will help to bring more value to your clients because if the tools work well, it leaves you with a very happy clientele,” he stated.
He pointed out that Instana is targeted at medium and large enterprises such as insurance firms, banks, and finance houses that provide services to end users.
“This is targeted at companies that have invested in IT.
“It is a game changer for companies that have invested in IT. It is super efficient and cost-saving. It protects a brand image to resolve technical glitches almost immediately,” he averred.
He, however, urged the federal government to provide the enabling environment for businesses to thrive
“We should not be worried about electricity supply, security, roads, and so on. We should allow more investors to come in and let the industry grow,” he advised.
He emphasised the critical need for unmatched observability and real-time monitoring in today’s business landscape.
“Instana’s capability to provide real-time insights and optimal performance reliability is revolutionary,” Abdul-Azeez stated.
Abdul-Azeez said Instana leverages a broad array of data sources, including call data, topology, events, and metrics, employing advanced AI protocols to deliver deep insights.
“Instana’s intuitive user interface enhances the user experience, with concise dashboards that provide easy access to critical performance data and insights.
“This feature simplifies the management of complex IT environments, making it a powerful tool for businesses. Beyond showcasing Instana’s impressive features, BluDive Technologies is committed to investing in local skills and is eager to demonstrate the platform’s capabilities to Nigerian clients.
“Instana’s innovative features and superior performance make it an essential tool for businesses striving to stay competitive. With IBM Instana, the future of application performance management has arrived, offering unprecedented power and efficiency,” he said.
On his part, IBM’s Mohamed Sherif delivered an enlightening presentation, showcasing how Instana empowers businesses to enhance their IT operations.
He stressed the importance of reducing the time spent tracking and resolving issues within the technology ecosystem.
“Instana excels with its automatic discovery and mapping of all services, applications, and infrastructure, offering comprehensive visibility across the entire IT stack.
“This granular level of detail enables IT teams to swiftly identify and address issues, ensuring peak performance around the clock,” he said.
A key highlight of the presentation was Instana’s AI-driven capabilities. The platform’s AI algorithms are designed to understand the environment and detect any deviations from the norm, providing actionable insights that allow organisations to take proactive measures.
“This AI-powered root cause analysis significantly reduces mean time to resolution (MTTR) and minimises downtime. Moreover, Instana’s seamless integration with other technologies and legacy platforms was demonstrated through simulated scenarios, illustrating its versatility and robustness,” Sherif noted.
