World PR Day: LCAN Chairman, Olusola, Ogbe Discuss Leveraging Coaching to Elevate PR
The Life Coaches Association of Nigeria (LCAN) has celebrated World PR Day with a feature of an enterprising discourse from the African Premier Life Coach and LCAN Chairman, Dr. Lanre Olusola, and the LCAN President and Managing Partner at GLG Communications, Omawumi Ogbe, on how to leverage coaching to elevate PR.

The conversation explores how coaching empowers PR professionals to conquer burnout, reach peak performance, and thrive in the dynamic PR landscape.

In her remark, LCAN President, Ogbe, underscored the need for continuous learning in PR, saying: “The future of PR is being shaped by constant change, demanding a fresh approach to storytelling and brand positioning. Through coaching, PR professionals can harness these shifts to craft influential narratives and build strong brand images that stand the test of time.”
Olusola also highlighted the future of PR, emphasising adaptability, agility, and the importance of building trust and credibility. World PR Day is celebrated annually in over 60 countries on July 16 and serves as a global recognition of the essential role public relations (PR) play in shaping public opinion, fostering trust, and driving effective communication.
The theme for 2024 is: ‘Public Relations in a Changing World’, and brings PR and communication professionals from across the world.
He noted that LCAN is dedicated to advancing the coaching profession in Africa, fostering a community of coaches committed to excellence, integrity, and transformative growth.
Olusola, who is often referred to as ‘The Catalyst’, is Africa’s premier life coach and cognitive behavioural psychologist from Nigeria.
He added that: “The leading coach organisation in Africa, LCAN, is at the forefront of shaping a resilient and innovative coaching landscape across the continent.”
