GIF3RD to Perform at Splashy Fen Music Festival

South Africa based, Nigerian artiste Ajimisan Gift Ebunoluwa, known professionally as “GIF3RD”,’ has officially announced that he will be performing at the highly anticipated Splashy Fen Music Festival, set to take place from September 23 to 26 later this year.

Splashy Fen Music Festival is one of South Africa’s most iconic annual events, held at the breathtaking world heritage site of the Drakensberg. Established in 1990, Splashy Fen is the country’s longest-running music festival, attracting thousands of attendees each year to the scenic farm near Underberg, KwaZulu-Natal. The festival offers a unique outdoor music experience with multiple stages, family-friendly activities, camping, arts and crafts stalls, food and drink outlets, and a variety of accommodation options. Special discounted rates are available for children, making it an event for all ages.

The festival has been on hiatus since its last iteration from April 18-22, 2019, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The South African government’s ban on mass gatherings and stringent safety protocols made it impossible to hold the event in 2020. However, with the easing of restrictions, Splashy Fen made a triumphant return in 2021 and 2022, much to the delight of its dedicated fanbase.

Gift, who released his debut EP in June, expressed his excitement about being chosen as one of the supporting acts for this year’s festival. “The festival is one of many that made a return after the pandemic, and I am glad to be selected as one of the supporting performers for this year’s event,” he said.

His participation in Splashy Fen is part of his broader strategy to increase visibility and grow his fan base. “My objective is to use this festival to create awareness for my music as well as increase my fan base,” Gif3rd explained. He also promised to deliver a memorable performance, ensuring that he gave his fans something to talk about.
