From Ajegunle to the World: Ikwanni’s Musical Journey in Afrobeats

Born in Ajegunle with origins from the beautiful state of Abia, Ikwanni’s musical journey has been nothing short of spectacles. His devotion to his craft and undeniable talent has earned him a toast to music lover and its likes.

A career in music today is quite viable but many have journeyed on this path with various reasons but this emerging act passion was a point of call for him. On what inspired him to take this step he shares, “It’s been a beautiful journey as music as always been something I love to do. I had my first set up when I was 24 and ever since I’ve been working really hard to give my people the best sound. I do Afro beat music and my music is influenced by love and real life struggles.”

Just like several emerging and upcoming artists in Nigeria, Ikwanni has had his fair share of challenges but his defying attempts has made him head on regardless. Recounting his journey he discloses that, “It’s really hard to be an upcoming artist in Nigeria because people will never support you until you get there. So I’ve learned to just put my best in my music and what ever comes out I take it as part of the journey because I knew it was never gonna be easy.”

With an upcoming EP dropping soon and a track titled Infinity in the pipeline fans of Ikwanni are in for a good music seasoned and layered with beautiful beats and an incredible vocal delivery. He hopes his music helps many to believe in love and to believe in their self as music is something he loves to do. Looking ahead his goals and aspirations for his career is to get to the greatest height of everything achievable through working really hard and having God as his rock.
