Smart Approaches Boss, Dr. Aina Receives National Outstanding Leadership Award

The National Association of University Students (NAUS) has honored Dr. Ibukun Aina, the founding director of Smart Approaches UK, with its esteemed National Outstanding Leadership Award. This recognition, naming Dr. Aina an Icon of Humanity and Societal Transformation, celebrates his exceptional contributions to democratizing access to opportunities in data analysis through his edtech company, Smart Approaches.

NAUS, which represents over 25 million Nigerian students both at home and abroad, selected Dr. Aina for his notable efforts in empowering students and bridging the talent gap in data and business analysis. His work aligns with the association’s mission to provide Nigerian students with the skills needed to excel in the global workforce. NAUS has a consultative working relationship with global bodies such as ECOWAS, UNICEF, and UNESCO, and is affiliated with the West African Student Union, the All-African Student Union, and the International Student Union.

Comrade Taiye Joseph, the National Publicity Secretary of NAUS, remarked, “This is a well-deserved recognition for Dr. Aina. In addition to his role as founder of Smart Approaches, Dr. Aina has also voluntarily mentored and trained several NAUS members who are now excelling in the tech field. Under a special program created by NAUS for this purpose, Dr. Aina has provided his expertise and guidance, helping to launch the careers of many young Nigerian students in the competitive tech industry.

Since its inception, the company has trained and certified thousands of individuals, helping them secure roles in tech.
